Having undertaken her training in the Commercial Litigation and Corporate Advisory groups of a national law firm, Melanie was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2001 and continued at the national law firm until taking a different path as a management consultant. Melanie then returned to legal practice at a boutique Brisbane firm where she worked for a number of years.
Subsequently, Melanie worked in the not-for-profit sector as business manager of a specialised fundraising consultancy to not-for-profit organisations. Later, Melanie took on a role as a manager of a small business.
Melanie brings her experience in small business back to general commercial legal practice. She takes a commercial approach to her matters and can look at matters from both a lawyer’s and a small business perspective.
